Meaning of delivery in the digital age
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, delivery means "the action of delivering letters, packages or ordered goods" or "the process of giving birth. "Three directors of film "Delivery", who are from Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines, portray the culture of their respective countries against such expanded interpretation of delivery through three turning points of life. The universality of childbirth (Malaysia), marriage (Philippines) and funerals (Korea) is countered by the very different cultural practices in which they are conducted per country. The short VR film, which was produced at the peak of pandemic-caused entry bans, allows viewers to be present at important moments in the characters' lives through VR gear.
